Understand How TV Garden "Installs"

TV Garden isn't a traditional app like Netflix or YouTube. There's no App Store download to install, because TV Garden is a website. Every "install" process described below is really about making TV Garden behave like a native app - adding its icon to your home screen, desktop, or app drawer so you can launch it with a single tap.

The technology behind this is called Progressive Web App (PWA). PWAs work on almost every modern device. Once "installed," a PWA launches in full-screen mode without browser address bars, responds like a real app, and loads faster because the interface is cached locally. You still need internet to stream live video - but the installation process makes TV Garden feel much more convenient.

Every install guide below follows the same basic pattern: open TV Garden in a compatible browser, trigger the "Install" or "Add to Home Screen" command, and confirm. The exact button location varies by device and browser. Let's go through them.

📱 Install TV Garden on Android

Android phones and tablets running Android 7.0 or newer.

  1. Open Google Chrome on your Android device. Chrome has the best PWA install support.
  2. Navigate to TV Garden by typing the URL in the address bar.
  3. Wait for the page to fully load - you should see the interactive globe interface.
  4. Tap the three-dot menu in the top-right corner of Chrome.
  5. Select "Install app" (some Android versions show "Add to Home screen").
  6. Confirm by tapping "Install" in the popup dialog.
  7. The TV Garden icon now appears on your home screen and app drawer.

  3. Tap the Share icon (a square with an upward arrow) at the bottom of the screen on iPhone, or top of the screen on iPad.
  4. Scroll down in the share menu and tap "Add to Home Screen".

  3. Click the install icon in the address bar (it looks like a small monitor with a down arrow) or use the three-dot menu → "Install TV Garden".

Chromebooks handle PWAs exceptionally well - TV Garden performs nearly identically to a native ChromeOS app once installed.

📺 Install TV Garden on Android TV / Google TV

NVIDIA Shield, Chromecast with Google TV, Sony Bravia, Xiaomi Mi Box, and other Android TV devices.

  1. Open the Google Play Store on your Android TV.
  2. Search for and install a browser: "TV Bro", "Puffin TV Browser", or "Firefox for Fire TV" (also compatible with many Android TVs).
  3. Launch the browser and navigate to TV Garden.
  4. Bookmark the page for quick access next time.
  5. Optional: Use the browser's "Install to home screen" feature if available.

Pair a Bluetooth mouse or use the Google TV Remote app on your phone for much easier navigation than the included TV remote.

🔥 Install TV Garden on Amazon Fire Stick / Fire TV

All Fire TV Stick, Fire TV Stick 4K, Fire TV Cube, and Fire TV Edition devices.

  1. From the Fire TV home screen, go to the App Store and search for "Silk Browser". Install it (it's free).
  2. Alternatively, install "Firefox" - it's the other main browser option on Fire TV.
  3. Launch the browser. Use the remote to type the TV Garden URL into the address bar.
  4. Navigate to TV Garden. Wait for the globe interface to load.
  5. Bookmark the page using the browser's bookmark feature (typically menu → "Add to Bookmarks").
  6. Next time you want to watch, just launch the browser - your bookmark takes you straight to TV Garden.

Our full Fire Stick guide covers remote navigation tips and Bluetooth mouse pairing for a smoother experience.

Install TV Garden on Samsung Smart TV

Samsung TVs running Tizen OS (2016 models and newer).

  1. Press the Home button on your Samsung remote.
  2. Navigate to the Apps menu.
  3. Search for "Internet" - Samsung's built-in web browser.
  4. Install and launch the browser.
  5. Type the TV Garden URL and press enter.
  6. Use the browser's menu to bookmark the page or add to home screen.

Samsung's built-in browser handles HLS video well on newer models (2020 and up). If you experience issues on older Samsung TVs, consider using a Fire Stick or Chromecast instead.

Install TV Garden on LG Smart TV

LG TVs running webOS (2017 and newer).

  1. Press the Home button on your LG remote.
  2. Open the Web Browser app (pre-installed on all LG webOS TVs).
  3. Type the TV Garden URL into the address bar.
  4. Use the Magic Remote's pointer to navigate the globe interface.
  5. Bookmark the page via the browser menu.

The LG Magic Remote is actually excellent for TV Garden - the pointer-style navigation works well with the globe interface, unlike directional-pad-only remotes.

Install TV Garden on Roku

Good news and bad news.

The limitation: Roku devices don't have a full web browser. You can't directly install or visit websites on Roku like you can on Android TV or Fire TV.

The workaround: Use screen mirroring or casting from your phone or laptop to the Roku. Here's how:

  1. On your Roku, go to Settings → System → Screen Mirroring.
  2. Set Screen Mirroring Mode to "Prompt" or "Always allow".
  3. On your Android phone, enable Screen Mirroring (also called Cast, Smart View, or Wireless Display).
  4. Select your Roku from the available devices.
  5. Once mirrored, open TV Garden in your phone's browser and it plays on the TV.

For iPhone users, Roku supports AirPlay on compatible models (most Roku devices from 2018+). Use AirPlay from your iPhone's control center to mirror to your Roku.

Install TV Garden with Chromecast

Cast TV Garden from phone or laptop to your TV.

Chromecast with Google TV (with remote)

This is essentially an Android TV device. Follow the Android TV instructions above - install a browser from the Play Store and navigate to TV Garden.

Older Chromecast (streaming-only)

  1. Open Chrome on your laptop (desktop Chrome has the best cast support).
  2. Navigate to TV Garden.
  3. Click the three-dot menu → "Cast".
  4. Select your Chromecast device from the list.
  5. TV Garden now plays on your TV, controlled from your laptop.

You can also cast from Chrome on Android phones the same way.

🎮 Install TV Garden on PlayStation

PS5 (via Media App / hidden browser), PS4 browser.

PlayStation 4

  1. On PS4, go to the main dashboard and scroll to "Library".
  2. Find "Internet Browser" - it's pre-installed.
  3. Launch the browser and navigate to TV Garden.
  4. Bookmark the page for easy return.

PlayStation 5

The PS5 doesn't have a visible browser in the main interface, but one exists in the system. You can access it by opening a website link from PlayStation messages or by navigating through certain system settings that trigger a web view. A workaround is to use the PS Remote Play app on your phone or PC, open TV Garden there, and the stream appears on your PS5-connected TV.

🎮 Install TV Garden on Xbox

Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S.

  1. From the Xbox home screen, open the Microsoft Store.
  2. Search for "Microsoft Edge". It comes pre-installed on Series X/S.
  3. Launch Edge.
  4. Type the TV Garden URL in the address bar using the on-screen keyboard or Xbox SmartGlass app.
  5. Bookmark the page or pin it to your Xbox home.

Pair a Bluetooth mouse and keyboard to your Xbox for much easier browsing - otherwise, the controller-as-mouse experience can be tedious for frequent use.

If Something Goes Wrong

Common Install Issues

"Install" option doesn't appear

Not every browser supports PWA installation. Make sure you're using a modern version of Chrome, Edge, Safari, or Firefox. Update your browser if you're not seeing the install prompt.

Icon looks wrong or missing

Sometimes the PWA install doesn't fetch the icon correctly on first try. Uninstall by long-pressing the icon and removing it, then repeat the install steps. The icon should load correctly the second time.

Full-screen mode isn't working

Some browsers require a user gesture (tap or click) before allowing full-screen. Tap once inside the TV Garden interface, then the full-screen button should work. You can also force full-screen via F11 on desktop browsers.

Channels won't play after install

The install doesn't affect streaming behavior - it just changes how the interface is launched. If channels fail to play, it's almost certainly a streaming issue (buffering, geo-block, or broadcaster downtime). See our troubleshooting guide.
